I love words, always have. I stumbled onto the OED in high school and it became a lifelong love affair. I also took two years of Latin as well as some French and Spanish. Semantics & etymology became a hobby. With these experiences, I learned that words are connected to history and culture and often have common roots. The meaning and usage of words also evolve with the societies that use them.
