Unfortunately, many of those who rise to the top lack compassion, even using religion as a rationale to commit evil. Sociopaths wish to dominate and dictate; those of us who wish to be cooperative tend to get run over. This new administration could finish pulling the carpet out from under our feet. Will people fight when they realize they have been duped? Will they realize we have turned the planet into our greatest adversary and that we need to heal her? I'm sorry I haven't answered this sooner. It's a good point. I should write a follow-up to the article because I do believe that we should definitely "fight" on every front, socially, politically, etc. However, on a spiritual front, we should fight the good fight of turning lead (lizard brain reactivity) into gold (the light of consciousness, empathy, and inner healing). Thankfully, it's not either/or, we can do all this at once.
